About Us

First grade quality broccoli & cauliflower wholesaler in South Africa.

A leading national wholesale distributor of first-grade quality broccoli and cauliflower

Tikketai is a leading national wholesale distributor of first-grade quality broccoli and cauliflower to the South African market. This includes some of the leading retail distribution centers. Over the past 25 years the Tikketai name has become synonymous with quality.

Our crops are produced in the beautiful Garden Route district. The moderate climate makes us arguably the best suited area in South Africa to produce on a year-round basis.

We do our own cultivar-selections based on different seasons and we source only the finest seed from overseas. The contracted farming units that supply us have been in broccoli and cauliflower production for the past 50 years and are vital to our success.

Our Values

At Tikketai we are passionate about community development and job creation.
We strive to minimize mechanization.

The story behind the Tikketai name

Your leading broccoli & cauliflower wholesaler in South Africa.

The Tikketai is a part of the Gericke family folklore that tells the story of a family of elves that lived on the farm “Die Bof”.  These elves sent a mythical bird called “Tikketai” to spread a message of health, prosperity, and abundance to communities far and beyond.

This story, which has been handed down through generations, can only be fully appreciated whilst sitting around a fireplace in the evening. Find out more about the story of Tikketai by reading our blog post “The birds and the broccoli – the tale of tikketai”.
